The Honourable Premier Colin Barnett MEc MLA
Since becoming Western Australia's 29th Premier on September 6, 2008, Colin Barnett has built a reputation as a strong advocate for Western Australia, for decisive leadership and promoting the economic and social development of the State.
As State Development Minister, Mr Barnett is committed to attracting investment and assisting the development of major projects based around Western Australia's natural advantages in mining, petroleum and agriculture.
Mr Barnett has been the Liberal Member for Cottesloe since 1990 and was Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party and a senior minister in the Court Government (1993-2001) holding the portfolios of Resources Development, Energy, Education and Tourism. From 2001 to 2005, he was Leader of the State Opposition. Mr Barnett has been Deputy Leader or Leader of the Liberal Party in every State election since 1993.
He holds an Honours and Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Western Australia.

Tony was President of the Broome Chamber from 2008 - 2014. He is a fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants and CPA Australia and is a licensed company auditor. He is also a graduate in Law from Monash University.
Tony has had a number of businesses in Broome. Currently he undertakes some property development and a business North 26 Building Supplies importing building materials and other products from China and Indonesia.

In 2001 Elsia was elected President of the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley and still holds that position today.

Ian Gay: Chairman Australia's North West Tourism
Ian worked for Qantas Airways for 45 years. During his career he held many senior roles in the airline including Sales, Marketing, Commercial Planning, Passenger Systems, Pricing and Revenue Management and Alliances.
In 2000, Ian was appointed Regional General Manager Western Australia and Northern Territory and moved to Perth with his family. Ian is currently the Vice Chairman for the Perth Convention Bureau and became Chairman of Australia's North West Tourism in February 2015.

He joined the Department of Mines and Petroleum in 1991 as the Petroleum Data Manager. In 2013 he became the Executive Director, Petroleum and oversees the regulatory management of Western Australia’s upstream petroleum industry.

Wayne has been an activist since the 1970s - Aboriginal Tent Embassy days. Trained ethnographic film maker at the AIATSIS in Canberra in the early 1980’s and radio broadcaster with the ABC.
He worked in government, private enterprise, and community organisations in media, community development, traditional cultural activity and Aboriginal health. He's a recording artist and singer songwriter as well as a national and international performance artist.

He holds a BSc (Hons) in Aquatic Toxicology and a PhD in Aquatic Animal Health and has an interest in the sustainable development of Aquaculture with an emphasis on increasing animal welfare through novel disease detection and abatement technologies.

Dean Newton: General Manager - Nyamba Buru Yawuru Ltd
Dean joined Yawuru in 2013 where he manages the Property, Governance, Corporate Services and Finance Divisions. Along with strong corporate accountability Dean is responsible for activating the many investment opportunities within NBY's portfolio.

Melissa Price MP: Federal Member for Durack
Melissa was born and bred in regional WA and understands the strength and diversity that comes from living in a remote, rural or regional town.
At the Federal Election on 7 September 2013, Melissa was elected as the Member for Durack and upon entering Parliament, she joined the Joint Standing Committee on Agriculture and Industry, Indigenous Affairs, and Infrastructure and Communications, and the Joint Select Committee on Northern Australia, to represent the electorate of Durack on a range of important issues.

He was lead negotiator in the Yawuru native title agreement that was signed by Yawuru, the Western Australian Government and the Shire of Broome in 2010 following the recognition of Yawuru native title in Australian law.
Some of his former roles have been Chairman of the Kimberley Development Commission, Executive Director of both the Central and Kimberley Land Councils, Royal Commissioner into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody and Chair of the Aboriginal Reconciliation Council. He also co-chaired the Expert Panel for Constitutional Recognition of Indigenous Australians which reported to then Prime Minister Julia Gillard in 2012.

Hannah Mann: Co-Owner of Kimberley Pharmacy Services
Hannah has a primary focus to close the gap in health outcomes between indigenous and non-indigenous Australians in the Kimberley region.
Hannah provides a range of services including medication supply, developing and delivering educational resources for clients and clinicians in remote communities, providing clinical support to Medical Officers, reviewing chronic disease medication clients in rural and remote settings, patient counselling and supporting remote area staff in medication management.
She is actively engaged with numerous care providers within the region to ensure appropriate services are provided with a health outcomes focus.

Warren Greatorex: Chief Executive Officer for Wilinggin Aboriginal Corporation
Warren is a Nyikina and Jabirr Jabirr man who was born in Derby Western Australia and has lived in the Kimberley for most of his life. Warren has worked in management and senior management roles for about 15 years and continues today as the Chief Executive Officer for Wilinggin Aboriginal Corporation that has one of the largest Native Title Determined areas in Australia.
Warren has always had a passion for Community Development and prosperity. Warren is currently the Head Coach for the Derby Tiger’s Football Club and over the years has played a mentoring role to many young aspiring young leaders having coached at local and regional levels.

In 2014 Tonii was keynote guest speaker for Young Indigenous Change Makers conference convened by the Foundation for Young Australians. Earlier this year Tonii was appointed to the national reference group for Headspace representing the Kimberley region and was selected under the Australian Stars Rising Above theme, which celebrates up and coming individuals who go above and beyond to make positive changes in their community.

Kathleen, one of the original founding member of Ardi Indigenous Tourism Operators which was established in 2005 and represents the many tourism operations on the Dampier Peninsula. She believes that through ARDI many of the successful family based businesses will have a voice at the grassroots’ level on how Indigenous and Cultural Tourism will play an important role in the future of tourism in the Kimberley.
