Melissa Price MP: Federal Member for DurackFederal Member for Durack, Melissa Price, represents the largest electorate in Australia, and the second largest in the World. She has been a tireless advocate for the resources and tourism sectors, as well as pushing for a greater role for women and Indigenous Australians in business.
As chair of the House Committee on Indigenous Affairs, Ms Price is currently working closely on Indigenous Education Models and how to encourage greater participation in the classroom with Indigenous children, and is conducting an inquiry into the manufacture and sale of fake indigenous art work. Ms Price has also examined several issues that directly relate to life in the Kimberley through her work in the Northern Australia Committee and the Committee for Regional Development and Decentralisation.
